We keep rare air plants in our greenhouse and offer them for sale when they are mature and easy to take care of. These air plant specimens are not typically found in greenhouses or nurseries and many air plants you see in the pictures are usually the exact the plants you will receive.

Tillandsia Duratii X Gardneri is a unique air plant with smooth dark green foliage. Very easy to take care of. Hybrid of Tillandsia Duratii and Tillandsia Gardneri.

This GIANT Bulbosa x Pueblensis Hybrid is the exact plant shown in the pictures. This tillandsia specimen has amazing thick curly leaves and bulbous base. A fun looking air plant has wiry leaves that spread out like a jellyfish. The succulent leaves are very cool to look at!

Tillandsia Ionantha x Concolor is a beautiful hybrid between T. Ionantha and T. Concolor. It looks like a large Ionantha with flat leaves similar to those of the Concolor. Normally its leaves are a slightly muted lime green but it can turn peach/orange with the perfect amount of bright indirect light.

Tillandsia Paleacea is a “thrives on neglect” air plant that has a large capacity to absorb water from the air. Place it in a humid environment and let its thick coat of trichomes capture water from the air. Similar to Tectorum, it does best in bright environments with high humidity and cool temperatures. Prefers misting over soaking as soaking when grown indoors in a room without high levels of light through windows.

Tillandsia Curly Slim is a popular air plant hybrid between T. Intermedia and T. Streptophylla. It can be grown horizontally or upside down on wire. Has thick curly leaves that curl back on themselves a few times. When flowering, Curly Slim produces a long pink spike which can produce more offsets. Pups quickly similar to T. Intermedia. Has not flowered. Only 1 availabe (see pictures). To keep the leaves tightly curled up, avoid frequent or long soakings.

Tillandsia Harrisii x Achyrostachys is a fun hybrid between the thick-leafed T. Harriisii and T. Achryostachys with its stunning multi-colored quill inflorescence. This hybrid has a very neat leaf pattern and is very soft and thick to touch. The inflorescence is similar to that of T. Achryostachys which is neon pink with yellow flowers. Currently in bud.

Tillandsia Xerographica x Concolor is a hybrid between the colorful Tillandsia Concolor and the curly Tillandsia Xerographica. The resulting hybrid is a silvery air plant with many graceful, recurving leaves. The leaves of this hybrid has a silvery coating of trichomes much like its Xerographica parent. Perfect for displaying with tilly wire or in a hanging air planter.

Tillandsia Ehlersiana is a unique air plant with a bulbous base and silvery trichromes. Very drought-tolerant and clump-forming. It can be grown in a cluster form or individually and eventually potted. Slow-growing, reaching 10-12″ tall when fully mature.

Tillandsia Weberi is a rare bulbous air plant from Mexico. It has very stiff leaves that emerge from a thick round base. Tillandsia Weberi’s trichomes are arranged in a pinstripe pattern, giving it a very unique texture. Has pink/purple flowers when blooming.

This large budding Tillandsia Bradeana x Roland-Gosselinii specimen is spectacular! This air plant is a hybrid between Tillandsia Bradeana and Tillandsia Roland-Gosselini. The leaves are typically green but turns lime-yellow similar to Rothii near flowering.

This EXTRA LARGE Tillandsia Rothii specimen is spectacular! Rothii is a hybrid between Tillandsia Roland-Gosselini and Tillandsia Jalisco-Monticola. The lime green foliage makes this such a colorful air plant. The leaves curl in gracefully like a Xeropgraphica but with denser foliage. Currently in low bud.

Tillandsia Caulescens is a large air plant with stiff spiky green leaves. Produces bright orange inflorescence and vanilla white blossoms along the stem when blooming. Water-loving. This Caulescens specimen has been growing in a clump form for a few years. Has over 10 smaller plants in the clump. Only 1 available – see pictures.

Straminea Thick Leaf much fuzzier leaves and grows a lot larger than the typical Staminea. The silvery white foliage is covered by a thick coat of fur (trichromes). Like all the other Stramineas, Tillandsia Straminea Thick Leaf produces very fragrant flowers when in bloom.

Tillandsia Atroviridipetala Large Form is an extremely rare air plant with stiff silvery leaves that recurve downwards to look like a hedgehog. The older leaves of this plant have curved down so much they have formed a “skirt” around the bottom of the plant. This is an old specimen and some algae has grown over the bottom leaves, giving them a dark appearance. This rare species has beautiful lime green flowers that emerge in multiple bracts. Has not flowered yet. Only 1 available – shown in pictures.

Tillandsia Ionantha Variegata is an interesting cultivar with alternating green and white banding on the outside of the leaves. As a result the ionantha gets a “variegated” look. Blushes red when close to blooming. Currently 2-3″ tall.

Tillandsia Tectorum Peru is a much larger cousin of Tillandsia Tectorum Ecuador. Like Tectorum Ecuador, Tectorum Peru is also covered with dense trichomes which give it a fuzzy appearance. A very drought-tolerant plant. Display your tectorum in a terrarium or by itself on the desk. This air plant is hard to dry out so only spritz it with water instead of soaking it completely. It enjoys air circulation so make sure it dries out completely after each watering.

Tillandsia Capitata Giant White is a silvery air plant with soft and velvety leaves that curve backwards when fully mature. The spike turns a light shade of yellow when flower. Rare in cultivation and a must have for collectors.

This unusual looking air plant features mossy textured leaves which are covered in a thick coat of trichomes. Tillandsia Pruinosa Giant Form is a larger cultivar of the closely related Pruinosa which grows to a much larger size. A rare addition to any plant collection.

This XL 14″-20″ Tillandsia Fasciculata X are currently budding or close to budding! The leaves are upright and turn a light shade of maroon when blooming. This hybrid is a graceful addition for any air plant collection. Some plants are in bud while a few others are close to budding.

“Eric Knobloch” is a hybrid of Tillandsia Streptophylla and Tillandsia Brachycaulos. This hybrid has shiny recurving leaves that tend to blush red when it gets more indirect light. Tillandsia Eric Knobloch, also known as “Love Knot” is also a fairy hardy air plant that can be watered more frequently than most other air plants.

Tillandsia Loliacea is a miniature air plant species that grows only up to about 1 inch tall. Tillandsia Loliacea is native to the semi dry climates of Bolivia and Brazil. The foliage is thick and stiff with a visible coat of trichomes. Has a strong clumping tendency and produces many pups.

Tillandsia Capitata Mauve is a colorful air plant that turns a light shade of red/purple in bright indirect light. When blooming, the center of Capitata Mauve turns a rare yellow color. These are currently 7″-9″ wide for the large size and 12″-16″ for the XL size.

Tillandsia Utriculata Prengeli is a gorgeous silvery air plant that blushes pink and lavender when grown in very bright, indirect light. Quick and easy to grow. Perfect air plant for beginners.
